Fomfok 5 - Windy Hill

From Fomfok hike - Windy hill

The blue tiny forget-me-not are everywhere and in full blossom. These tiny pretty flowers just grow on me. But unfortunately they are really hard to be photographed. All my pictures of them are out of focus.
There is something with this hike. I of course forgot to charge the batteries for the big camera, unsurprisingly it stopped working after dozens of pictures. The back up battery didn't work at all, what to expect since I didn't charge it. Well, I still have my iphone. Another dozen pictures later, my iphone was dead (happens to me a lot when I use camera, bug!). So, I HAD TO appreciate surroundings with my eyes instead of lens. Though I wish I have took the picture where those forget-me-to formed a small blue valley in some segments of trails. The ferns there are also impressive especially with interesting light conditions in shaded woods. That is another photo challenge though since it is really easy to get overexposed. I think at the end it is a good thing all my photo gears quit on me before half way of the trip, I enjoyed the rest of trip camera free. Being there without distraction is good. That aside however I was happy I captured a few giant Cow Parsnip pictures before the big camera went out. That plant is just so GIANT!

The hike was long, around 10 miles.

It is somewhat fitting to visit Windy Hill again in this way.
