what happened when I backup

After months or years of procrastination, I finally got around to do some back up of my work machines. First time set up time-machine, my hard drive happily blinking, I was quite impressed by how simple this back up business was. Well, one minute after I walked away from the desk, "Dong!" Something was hitting into the floor. Well, Cartman was ON the table, trying to eat the napkin, and the hard disk was on the floor!!! He basically knocked the hard drive off the table, and of course, it was broken. That goes my backup plan. :((

ps: there is a huge dent on our wood floor too.
