a promise
Cartman was left home alone when we were away in Alaska for a week. Of course we arranged friends to come over to walk and feed him. The fact was he was taken to one of our friends home as soon as we left on last Saturday. Cartman is popular. But, this little silly dog started his hunger strike when he was away from home. He only ate table food and refused to touch his regular food. According to our friend, he was becoming thinner visibly. wh... By Wednesday he was sent back to our place, and he started to eat again. What a silly dog!! We were back yesterday, Cartman has attached himself to me from then on. He kept checking me out if he was not on my lap. The welcome dancing was extremely hot every time I came back home from shopping or throwing garbage. This two-and-half-year-old didn't handle our one week absence as good as last time when he was one year old.
I guess next time when we take vacation, we shall definitely send Cartman to a dog hotel so he can spend his time with many other dogs hence he will be in vacation too.
Promise.
And to our friends, thanks so much for taking care of Cartman.

Toby's name is Daisy

Cartman met a black dachshund a few days back. That dog is of the same size of Cartman. He belongs to the family who takes care of the orchard in Sunnyvale community center. He and Cartman played together very much, a very well-made match, one black and one white. I named him Toby, all black dachshunds should be named Toby in my book...
Next day we met Toby when her owner was around. It turned out she is a girl and her name is Daisy. And she is 2 years old.
"Cartman got a girlfriend, Cartman got a girlfriend."

Harvest
To avoid another feeding ground for our rats, I collected all the
tomatos as they are still green. My container garden worked. The
question is which vegetable(s) rats are not interested?
