sea lion trapped
A California sea lion was trapped for 10 days in a shallow strip of water along a concrete channel of San Tomas Aquino Creek in Santa Clara, July 7, 2008. Here, it exists the water to sun itself. (Karen T. Borchers/Mercury News)
story here.
Can I say the way this girl sea lion sleeping/sun-bathing is SO MUCH LIKE the way Cartman sleeps, such a I-dont-care-I-need-sleep-right-now-dont-wake-me-up-for-any-reason attitude!

The very first camping trip
Hidden View Camp Site in Hensley Lake Park

If I have had checked out google earth earlier, I might not book this site.
It has no trees.
And it was hot on July 4th and July 5th.
Though I had to say it was very well equipped camping site: showers, hot water, table and everything except no electricity which some first-time camper like my husband wanted too. He was envisioning open a camp look-like hotel, you will get a TV when you encounter then open a tree trunk in the woods there...
Poor cartman seemed not enjoy the experience. He refused to eat his food after the bbq night. He is not a hot weather type.

Plus he had to be squeezed into a Prius with four adults and a three-year old, as well as six sleeping bags, two tents. He did sleep quietly on my lap/stomach all the ways after he figured out he cannot jump front and back like when he was in my civic.

We put him off-leash for five minutes in Hensley lake beach, what a small/dry lake! He was dirty, as expected, in less than one minute. He was going to run away with other interesting people, like those with boats, but he could not resist all the sticks we throwing up to him, and got lured back and caught.
One of best things in this trip was the starry night we saw in this remote, dry, barren and hot place. We saw milky way, many constellations. The sky was like a glass roof embedded with shining studs, so far and so close, which made me dizzy. And yes the stars do wink.
